PowerGen 2024 ESG Report

Governance as the foundation of trust

At PowerGen, governance is the foundation for responsible decision-making, transparency and trust. As Trinidad and Tobago navigates an increasingly complex energy and economic landscape, PowerGen recognises that good governance must move beyond compliance to become a culture of conviction. This first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report marks an important step in embedding sustainability into the company’s operations, culture and strategy.

The report serves as both a baseline and a blueprint, outlining PowerGen’s current position, progress to date and areas for future strengthening. Drawing on insights from the Enterprise Risk Management system, functional department leads and the newly formed ESG Committee, it supports stakeholder dialogue, internal reflection and continuous improvement while covering sustainability performance and ESG initiatives for the financial year 2025, with selected references to previous periods for comparison.
